Ronaldo Mouchawar is a Syrian entrepreneur. In 2005, by founding Souq.com—the largest e-commerce retailer in the Arab world—he achieved the region’s first unicorn status. When Amazon acquired Souq in 2017, Mouchawar became the Vice President of Amazon for the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye. He is also known as a seasoned figure from Maktoob, the internet portal acquired by Yahoo in 2009.
In 2005, Mouchawar co-founded Souq.com together with Jabbar, Samih Toukan from Internet Group, and Hussam Khoury. By adding various product categories such as fashion, electronics, and home appliances, he transformed Souq.com into the largest e-commerce retailer in the Arab world.
